OUR LEADERSHIP
Dane Nelson InterIm pastor Jesus captured his heart in sixth grade. In late High School, he felt a call to ministry but decided to pursue a secular degree and figured if God was calling him, then He would open doors. Less than a month after graduation, he moved to Nepal to be a missionary and teach at the Bible college for a year. His church then asked him to come on staff as the High School Pastor, where he served for 4 years and was ordained into the ministry. This was when he met the love of his life (Emily Nelson) at their home church. They got married and moved to Lynchburg to pursue seminary and for Emily to finish her nursing degree. |
Levi Halye AssoCiate Pastor Jesus broke through to Levi when he was 12. Through his involvement in the church, he felt a calling to ministry but instead ran. He was led to Liberty University, where he pursued a Criminal Justice degree. After his first semester, under deep conviction, Levi surrendered, and God confirmed his calling into ministry. He switched his major and pursued a Youth Ministry degree with a Biblical Studies minor. During his time at Liberty, he met his now wife (Julia Halye). They have been faithfully serving MPBC since June 2023. Levi loves spending his time woodworking, hiking, playing basketball, and running. |
